Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Vuka mobile application (the "Service") operated by JavuApps ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

Vuka is a personal finance management application that allows you to:

• Track income and expenses across multiple accounts and currencies
• Create and manage budgets
• Set and track savings goals
• Scan receipts using AI-powered image recognition
• Manage recurring transactions and subscriptions
• Track debts and loans
• Create shopping lists
• View financial analytics and insights

2. Accounts

2.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your device.

2.2 Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

2.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms.

3. Subscriptions

3.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, a subscription is required to continue using the Service.

3.2 Subscription Plans

We offer monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed in the app and on Google Play. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

3.3 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play
• Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• Your data will remain in your account unless you choose to delete it

3.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policies. Please contact Google Play support for refund inquiries.

4. User Data and Content

4.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial data and content you enter into the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data.

4.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter. The Service is a tool to help you organize your finances, not a substitute for professional financial advice.

4.3 AI-Processed Data

When using the receipt scanning feature, AI may make errors in extracting data. You should always verify the accuracy of AI-extracted information before saving transactions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated systems or scripts to access the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to process data for others without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of JavuApps. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
• AI-processed receipt data will be 100% accurate
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL JAVUAPPS, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Financial decisions made based on data in the Service

9. Financial Disclaimer

Vuka is a personal finance tracking tool, NOT a financial advisor.

• The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
• Information presented is for informational purposes only
• You should consult qualified professionals for financial decisions
• We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JavuApps and its licensees, employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:

• Your use of and access to the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Zambia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration body in Zambia.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JavuApps regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and us.
