JavuApps ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Vuka mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name (if provided via Google Sign-In)
  • Profile picture (if provided via Google Sign-In)

1.2 Financial Data

To provide our budgeting and expense tracking services, we store:

  • Account names and balances you create
  • Transactions you enter (amounts, dates, categories, notes)
  • Budget allocations and goals
  • Recurring transaction settings
  • Debt tracking information
  • Shopping lists

Important: We do NOT connect to your bank accounts. All financial data is manually entered by you or extracted from receipts you choose to scan.

1.3 Receipt Images

When you use our AI receipt scanning feature:

  • Receipt images are temporarily uploaded for processing
  • Images are processed using AI technology to extract transaction details
  • You can choose to keep or delete receipt images after processing
  • Temporary receipt images are automatically deleted after 24 hours

1.4 Usage Analytics

We collect anonymous usage data to improve our Service:

  • App feature usage (which screens and features you use)
  • App performance metrics
  • Crash reports and error logs
  • Device type and operating system version

This analytics data does not include your personal financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process and store your financial data securely
  • Enable AI-powered receipt scanning
  • Send you notifications about recurring transactions and reminders
  • Improve our Service based on usage patterns

3.1 Where Your Data is Stored

  • Receipt images are stored in private, access-controlled storage

You can view all your financial data within the app at any time.

You can export your transaction history and other data from within the app.

5.3 Delete Your Data

You can delete individual transactions, accounts, or your entire account. When you delete your account:

  • All your financial data is permanently deleted
  • All receipt images are permanently deleted
  • Your account information is removed from our systems

5.4 Opt-Out of Analytics

You can opt-out of analytics collection by contacting us at support@javuapps.com.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained as long as your account is active
  • Temporary receipt images are deleted after 24 hours
  • Permanent receipt images are retained until you delete them or your account
  • Analytics data is retained for up to 2 years
  • Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
